Vent under the fridge

Does anyone know what the purpose is of the vent located on the floor inside the cabinet that is beneath the fridge? I have a 2015 tab s.

  It's the "intake" vent for the fridge when it's on propane; the exhaust is on the outside to the right of the door. Nerd less to say, it's important not to cover it up...
