HD antenna

After cutting the cord 3 years ago, I purchased an HD antenna for the house.

I get the clearest, uncompressed HD local channels, public television & a few other channels which is more than enough & comes with a monthly bill of zero dollars.
Wondering if any t@b owners use a similar antenna & is the Jensen tv, HD capable? Obviously I know the number of channels & signal strength will be based on how remote we travel & set up camp.

To be honest, I'm not a fan of Jensen & am thinking of getting my own small flatscreen & installing it myself inside the t@b. Has anyone else customized their tv/audio set-up?

Thank you in advance for your input.

I enjoy TV when overnighting at Walmart on cross country trips, when it is rainy or when I am concerned about severe weather. It's all about what you enjoy.

I use a small $12 magnetic antenna that I attach to a clip that clips to the driver side keder. It works pretty well for the price.

Regarding the Jensen, I have looked and there are not a ton of RV alternatives for 12v. If you always camp with electric or plan to use an inverter, it's no problem to switch it out

Exactly Jenn, that'll be the only time I plan on watching it, when camping. Transitioning from tent to t@b, it'l be a luxury for sure.

I rarely watch TV but this has worked well the few times I've tried it - It's powered (110 or USB). Haven't had any luck with unpowered unless I'm in close range of a tower.

Got it rigged to fit on a painters pole.
I also have a single rabbit ear antenna (none powered) with a magnet base that I can stick to that metal plate.

I have this "as seen on tv" thingy bought at Walgreens for $9.99.  Plugs into tv aux cable input, is stuck to inside of camper driver's side Window 24/7 with two suction cups. Works great. You just have to do a channel scan every time you stop. The HD channels on the Jesnen come in crystal clear, for real.

I tried the Leafs but didn't have much luck even though I know others that have them and they do fine. It seems it's another ine of those "your mileage may vary" types depending on where you travel.

For those going to Tearstock, it would be cool to try to do a "side by side" test of the various antennas.

I've had great luck with my Moho (I have powered and un- piwered), as long as I was in a flat area with a clear line of sight to the towers. When I wasn't I got out the Tailgater Dish, called Dish to change the zip, code (if over 200 miles from the last change), and watch local channels. (It gets dark early in AZ and you can only watch so many DVD's, play so many iPad games, and read so many books ;) )

It's true. I have noticed that with fall camping, too.

I camped on the other side Atwood last summer and no luck for me, there, either. I did pick up a fair amount of channels at both Punderson and West Branch State Parks in OH, though.
