Fresh water tank will not fill. Blockage?

City port with hose works fine. Cannot fill fresh h20 tank, it barfs it back out. I "intubated" with a skinny hose and it stops after about 16" or so. There isn't any sort of screen or anything I can see inside. Should I get mad at it with a snake? Would removing the port help or hurt? Thanks for any insight.

Sounds like an air lock - I'd check the small overflow tube and see if there's a kink and if it's venting.
I had mine act that way one time but couldn't deal with it right there as others were waiting in line to fill on. Drove to the next watering hole and it worked fine. Figured it was air and it worked itself out while bouncing down the road.0 -
