Annieoakley,
Could you please take an overhead picture, looking down on your spare tire attachment. I have a box attached to my frame like yours and would like to move the spare forward. Also, I have a bike rack frame to work around.
Thanks -
@Annieoakley
Just curious what the photo is in reference to since you provided no caption and the thread is about getting new tires.

The pic was related to having problems with the spare tire. I had a tire holder fabricated so to leave enough room for the solar hook up as well as get it off the back end. Have pulled several hundred miles and like it. Someone liked my tire cover to,

I did it for these but don't have the time to do it for every image uploaded here. Please read that thread and if you need help ask there. Thanks Px

I hope that your tire carrier works for you. I would be a little nervous about having that much weight hangin' out there with no support under it. Looks to me that it would put a lot of strain on the tongue also with all the bouncing around that the trailer does. Just thinkin' out loud.;)The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

Thanks for the pictures.

It would seem that, but this is a very common setup on trailers. These mounts are built to handle the weight of the spare bouncing around.JandJ92010 said:I hope that your tire carrier works for you. BTW, nice idea with the pad lock on it.

What Cyclonic said - pretty much standard on small-medium sized boat trailer. In fact, I got my mount at a marine suppy place.
