Looking for an App that finds RV parks NOT near the freeway!

Good Sam & KOA both offer decent iPhone apps, but I've stayed at their recommended parks and been very disappointed due to noise.  It seems that most RV parks, including state and and national parks, seem to be near a busy road or highway. Does anyone know of an app that locates parks in more blissful places.  When camping, serenity is everything!

    A good recommendation I recently read advised checking out Google Earth to see about specifics re the location such as rail road tracks, highways, packed in like sardines campgrounds.

    Yes, and while planning, also read reviews of campgrounds you are interested in.  RVParkReviews.com is a good site for this.

    There are a ton of locations that are quiet and off the beaten path.

    States the T@Bpole has camped, so far ;)

    Haven't used an app yet, but googled Blue Highway campgrounds and found tripleblaze. Checked out a few and none were apparently close to freeways. A lot of listings around the country.

    Google earth was mentioned above - You can also switch whatever map you're using into satellite view and zoom in.
    I usually do that check but today when I thought of it I didn't have a good cell connection - it was listed as a BLM site with 16 sites of which 8 had electric. NOT - 8 shabby sites after a two mile treck down a narrow washboardy gravel road :-(
    That would have been obvious if I'd have zoomed in.

    For those with Android phones, I've liked RV Parky. It's free and has an interactive map.  Not sure if it works at all without cell coverage though.
