My Mac was playing just fine with Forum, login working and all. Then yesterday it stopped logging me in. Thought might be a pw problem so I reset password. Still no login. So reset again using iPad. Now can use Forum on iPad but still getting Howdy Stranger treatment from Forum when try to log in on Mac. Any ideas as to why?

Oh darn. Thought I was special so did not check the history. Now I see that Forum does not posy well either Mac and Safari. I'm not very technical but will see what I can do. Will holler if need help.

I don't know about Safari but the forum works fine with Chrome on my Mac.John and Henrietta, Late 2016 T@B S Max in Western New York

Clear out your cookies and history on your Mac, @KYkampers. Sometimes that works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't had my Mac out for a while so I don't know if the Vanilla forum has made changes that make the Mac harder to use.Verna, Columbus, IN

Sometimes you may need to go into Keychain Access app, find the forum password, delete it. The visit the forum and log in so the keychain registers it anew. A corruption issue.

Thanks for that, PXLated. I started to say you were the person to ask, but I wasn't sure if you were back in cell service land.Verna, Columbus, IN

Oh, forgot - Keychain Access app is in the Utilities folder in your app folder in case you didn't know.

It is a cookie problem, I had the same problem using Safari. Go to Safari preferences, Privacy, and select the Always Allow option for Cookies and Website Data.
The problem is the login cookie is set from a different URL and if you have Allow only from sites that I visit selected, Safari will not properly set the login cookie.

Thanks you guys are great. I am logged in now using Chrome, and will see what I can do to fix Safari.

On Macs, it's gotta be either cookies or keychain corruption - Can't think of anything else that controls it unless you're running an ad blocker.
