Private Messages

OK, guys, to those who aren't getting responses to your "private messages", here's why:

If you click on the person's name and start typing in the "Activity" box that appears, this is NOT a private message, but it is a message that everyone can see on the Activity page. And, you can't attach attachments to the Activity page, either. The Vanilla software considers this to be a "post on your Wall". I don't always see them, and it's not an obvious place for most of us to look on a regular basis. 

If you want to really send a private message, click on the person's username, ignore the "Activity" box and look for the little box that says "Message". Click on the "Message" box, type your message and send it. No one can see the contents of your message except for you and the person you are sending it to. 

You may may or may not be able to attach attachments....I haven't tried.
