New Owner with a 'New to Me' 2016 T@b Max S

It is so adorable I just want to pick it up and hug it! I bought the T@b last month off a seller on this site. Some might remember the posting it had the fridge door painted the bright blue to match the one-off blue of the outside trim. It is everything I could have wished for. Once we picked up the trailer we headed across the state of North Carolina to a very generous T@b owner #Subism who gave us a table to replace the one the original owner had gotten rid of. I'm sure I'll have many questions, so reading through the post and FAQs, etc to get smart over these winter months.
I do have one immediate question, I'd like to get the roof fan cover during the Black Friday sales, but there appears to be two sizes... 14x14 or 20x20, can someone give me a tip on which size is correct for a T@b?
Looking forward to meeting others in the New Year, Happy Holidays!

Congrats!! Enjoy!Red and White, 2017 Max S being towed by a 2014 Honda Ridgeline. Hello Mountains!

Just gazing up at my fan, it's definetly bigger than 14 so must be the 20.
-
Have fun we love ours. The kids are camping us to death! It's a awesome thing and the best family time anyone could ask for
-
14x14 is the standard roof fan opening. Yes, the opening seems larger due to the trim inside. Aero Flo cover is my favorite--sleek looking, low profile. You may or may not agree, as there are many others who have their favorites.

Verna - Opening my vent, shining a light up to see where the vent cover comes down, it's roughly the same width as the metal frame inside and that is 16" (so probably 15 give or take a bit) 3... 14 definetly doesn't sound like it'd fit mine.

So you're talking the vent size not the vent cover size - that's as clear as mud.
-
Our cover is a MaxxAir vent. We have to take it off to pull the T@b into the garage, so it is sitting right here. It is 18.5 x18.5.

The question refers to the hole in the roof, not the size of the actual vent. The industry standard is a 14"x14" hole in the roof for the standard vent. The 20"x20" hole is used on the larger RV's for a type of fan and vent that will not fit on the T@B's.Verna, Columbus, IN

Back to the subject at hand, DebM11, congrats on your "new" T@B. You got, not a good deal, but a great one! It's really okay to go give it a hug, and who cares if the neighbors talk, it will give them something to chat about over the holidays! Now is the time to give it a test run, figure out what mods you want to do, and just plain enjoy it! Oh, and remember, questions aren't required, but are welcomed. Lots of helpful folks here with not only good advise, but great ideas as well! Have fun, and be safe out there.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!boo & ericnliz, yes a great deal : ) in addition the owner also had the XL visor, valences for the windows made by his mom, an extra long elec cord and various leveling type blocks to assist in setup. This will be interesting last I was camping was as a kid 40 years ago in my parents homemade popup.
Verna, thanks for the picture you made me stop and think about color being more important to me over size... I will be ordering a silver vent cap to match the body. I'm pretty sure its a 14x14, and you are right its probably the hole size and not the fan size, just one of those standards from one model to the next.
Mods.... I can't wait! Subism showed me the one on the upper compartment doors with springs, that is one for sure i will do.
My neighbors just think I am crazy, not only is the T@b in the driveway but so is a 1953 Traveleze that I gave up on for renovation and am thinking of selling or maybe just use as decorative storage unit.SOLD: My T@BLEAU
