    Vermonster,
    Mine does have a low sound level as well.  It increases with a load placed on it, such as several lights on or the 12V DC compressor refrigerator coming on.  I believe that is normal operation, as you need the fan to run to keep the coils cool.

    Thanks Geo.  I'm glad to find someone else with a vintage t@b as I know I will have tons of questions as time goes on.  We haven't used the shoreline yet but I'm sure we will at some point

    Vermonster/Geo - Been reported in other threads that the cooling fan cranks up anytime the converter is charging the battery.

    Thanks PXL, I saw that too.  Mine seems to run indefinitely, but need to experiment more
