Alde System won't run

Hey there,
We went to start our Alde system tonight and it  will run.  Plugged into shore power and propane is on.  Power and fuses all ok.....any ideas?

We've tried to open breakaway's new manual, but don't see a way to actually open or download it.  Help?  We are cold!

    Have never started ours, but do you have gas on as well? In order to open manual, I have to be logged in. I am sure someone will chime in soon! Good luck.

    I am unable to copy/paste. It states gas setting is automatic. If gas AND electric are used together, the default is electric. Do you hear any clicking? Is your vehicle level?

    Hi,
    We are pretty level in the driveway, propane is on.  We turned lightning bolts to 3, gas on and thermostat to 5 and nothing happening

    What do you have the third slider set on? Should be heat/water (center choice).
    When it starts you'll first hear a slight whir as the circulating pump starts up and then the boiler kicking in. If you can't hear it from within the T@B, try listening at the vent next to the electrical hookup.

    Have you checked to be sure the propane is working...e.g. by lighting the stove? I know that helps fill tthe line for the fridge to run on gas. Also, it sure sounds like a fuse problem...have you checked both tthose weird little fuses on the top of the Alde?

    Hi,
    I thought I had read in the manual not to turn on the hot water when tank is empty - but I think that is incorrect.  I turned on that third slider to middle position per PXlated and we are gurgling away....

    Glad you got heat tabulosity.  That IS the correct position PXlated told you. Its not a fluke. :):):).

    Don't feel bad - That position had me stumped at first as I didn't want hot water and the two top positions both show water. The bottom position evidently keeps the circulation pump off and the Alde won't start up unless it's on.

    We got ours running and took a photo of the controls with a cell phone and stuck it in with the trailer manual-just in case we get confused again.

    We are having the same problem EXCEPT that the controls are set appropriately and still, nothing.  No whir, no gurgling.  Nada. So, DurangoTab, tell me more about those "weird little fuses" on top of the Alde unit.  :-)  It is behaving as if it is not receiving power.  No clicks, etc. when thermostat/controls are adjusted.  Another bit of info....we have had the tab on shore power in the driveway this winter, and around november, it stopped heating.  If it is fuses, is it okay to just start yanking them out and checking them?  Do I need to unplug from power/disconnect the battery?

    Look for my post from Whistler BC! Our went out as well. Turned out that the control board on the heater itself went bad. Just had it replaced under warranty. No settings would get it to work including the "emergency start" procedure.

    That's behaving like the fuse problem. It happened on shore power with mine.

    There are two fuses, the old glass-tube type, on the Alde itself.

    Look in the Yahoo Group / Files, "ALDE HIDDEN FUSES.pdf". Link is here, for the info:

    Be sure all power is disconnected before working on it.
