Off site storage

in Tips & Tricks
For those of us that can't store our T@B at home, where do you store it?  Outside RV storage? Covered RV storage? Or large lockable storage unit?$$$. What's your preference and why. Looking at the options. We go every other weekend on a short 3 day trip. We have all types fairly close by 7 miles. Looking for pros and cons and advice. Thanks Norm

    Norm -- I store T@B at an off-site storage facility (fenced) with a live-on property manager.  The pros are that there is someone who lives there and keeps an eagle eye on who comes and goes.  The cons are that the storage facility has regulated hours -- I can't access T@B before 8:00 a.m. or after 6:00 p.m.  So more planning is needed regarding when I can get her and take her back.  I do like my arrangement because the property manager knows who I am, and I have a primo end-isle site for $37.50 per month.  It's also within 10 minutes of where I live, so that is SUPER important.

    I am using outdoor storage in a locked compound to which I have 24x7 access. The pro is I can access to it anytime but the con is the compound is gravel and it's hard to keep the interior of the T@B clean as well as the TV, particularly when the weather is wet. The cost is $60/month. It's 20 minutes away which is not too bad. Inside would be nice but it's not available and I would assume costly.

    I also store mine at a locked lot with an onsite manager. It's black-topped, access is available between 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM, and it's about 10 minutes from home. I pay $40 a month. In this area, covered storage is about 3 times that.

    Thanks for all the comments.  I am being newbie paranoid about the T@B.  I guess logically if locked up in a fenced compound it is actually safer than locked up sitting at my house with no one home.  I think I need to get over it  :D

    We use a local fenced outside storage facility for $25 per night.  We have 24/7 access.

    I actually came across a good deal on a 12x25 storage unit that I can back the trailer in to.  The cost was only $10.00 more than  outside so I jumped on it.  Besides they plow the driveways so I can get it out in the winter   :)  Now to get back to my sons place to pick up the trailer.  Thanks to all for the input.

    I have a 3 car garage and I put our T@B in the single car side.  I don't have tone concerned with freezing or sun damage-but I do have to be concerned about a shovel handle etc.
