Honda 2000 generator

Maybe this has been covered before..can my Honda 2000 generator run the Air conditioner in a 2014 320S model?

    Mike, Is it possible to run the Air and some interior lighting or the TV too? I don't know what kind of load the AC pulls..

    Yes. A 1000 will maintain the load of the ac and even start some of them.

    No problem running the AC and any or all 12 volt  circuits.

    The A/C takes around 500w to run, so that leaves aplenty for other use.

    It does, however, need somewhere between 1000-1500w surge to start up, which some 1000w generators are capable of providing.

    Don't forget the extra  current draw  is not just at start up but also  every time the compressor cycles.

    The advertised 1000W generators can sustain 1000W for about 15-20 sec. Sustained power is 800W.
