Summer camping spots in AZ?

Hi All, We are looking for some good summer camping spots in AZ.  It is just too darn hot in Phoenix! We have a generator, so we don't have to have electricity, but potable water to fill the tank upon arrival would be nice.  We pull our T@B with an Outback, so we try to keep the weight down.  Any suggestions?

I've visited the Mogollon Rim campgrounds several times in my tent camping days.

Lots of places to go during the summer in AZ.  Flagstaff, White Mountains, Payson and the Mogollon Rim.  If you're looking for established campgrounds, simply search county and state parks.  If boondocking, Google Earth can help you identify some cool spots up north.

Not only is it good for finding camping spots, it's also useful for making sure you have an escape route in case you run into a problem (like a washed out road).  I only go down dirt roads that have areas along the way in which to turn around.

We like Aspen campground at Woods Canyon Lake on the rim and Woody Mountain Campground in Flagstaff.
Aspen campground is a no-hookups campground.
Woody Mountain is both full and partial hookups.
There are also some nice no-hookup campgrounds near Sunset Crater in Flagstaff.
