Is there supposed to be a fan in this hole?

Hi,  my fridge puts out a tremendous amount of heat (just ordered the auxiliary fan yesterday) and while I was looking at the fridge configuration yesterday I saw this big hole cut out just below the fridge coils that leads to the vent hole in that bottom cabinet at the front door. Is there supposed to be a fan in that hole to draw the heat down to the vent in the floor?  or...is the hole just there to let the air escape? its not a very efficient way to do it since heat rises. There is a small fan about mid-way in the coils, but it seems like there should be one in this hole.

    That goes up and out the vents on the front of the T@B...that's the inlet

    Agree with Durango -that's the air inlet.  You should also see a fresh air opening in the floor itself near that hole.  Check out Noisy Norcold for more pics and info about fans.
