Black Tank Flush Systems

As I prepare...researching different means & methods... Has anyone installed a black tank flush system such as the Camco Quickie Flush or Valterra No Fuss Flush?  My research has opted out the Camco Rotary, as it requires hi pressure (60-100 psi) to function properly...  As I haven't taken delivery of my T@B yet...I haven't looked to see if it is even feasible...

    Looking at some of the videos on YouTube it looks like a relatively straightforward DIY process, assuming you're handy with tools. For example, Installing a RV Holding Tank Clean Out System shows how to do it.

    One thing they don't mention in that video is to install the flush system up as high as possible in the tank, ideally opposite the exit tube.

    Based on this video (RV Holding Tank Rinse Systems Compared) I'm considering installing a Valterra No Fuss system.

    I haven't even received my Tab 400 yet, and already I'm thinking of some mods. :)

    Hope this is not a disappointment, but you can cross Black Tank Flush installation off your Things to Do list. This feature comes standard on the 400!

    I ran into a guy this weekend who had a 320S like me and has one installed.  I gathered it was an option he had installed, vs diy...

    To our knowledge, it is standard in the 400 model. We are not aware of it being standard in the 320s but nüCamp is always improving.

    My 2018 320 does not have it, but as previously stated, the fellow I spoke to aluded to the fact that he got one installed on his. Not sure who installed it though(key point missed!! Lol)

    My black tank is only 10 gallons. It's not hard to clean it out. The reverse flush actually works for me because there's no bend on my black tank tubing (the Retro).

    I find the best way to flush the tank is with a wand that is inserted through the toilet. Although many times that is not possible at the dump. I still like to be able to fill the tank with fresh water. Open the valve and allow the natural flushing action. In order to fill the tank from the outside I have done this.

    I trust that is the vent...I believe on the 2018s the vent is on the roof...I'll be checking this when I get home...

    Correct. What you see on the roof is the fan vent for the AC.

    Looks good Dale,  Only question is,  What about a back flow valve on the water hose.  I understand people get real picky mixing fresh water with black water.  Do you think this would be a problem?

    Their is a vacuum brake on the hose, and it is not the hose I use for fresh water.

    I am a little confused with this Y fitted set up...? Why or when would you ever be connected to city water & to the black tank "flush" port(aka vent?  I would do this only at the sanity dump during my flush process...

    Even my backflush hose on the sewer fitting elbow isn't my fresh water hose (but still use backfilter on it). It's just a relatively short length of hose I happened to have around the house.

    Haha, it's not a disappointment at all!  Serendipitously, we actually discovered the black tank flush on Wednesday during the walkthrough while taking delivery that our new 400. Was going to update here in the forum, but you beat me to it. :)

    @Dalehelman, it looks like the vent line runs almost horizontal and connected to both black and gray tanks.  How would I know if the fresh water hose entered to the blank tank's vent line?  I would like to copy your ingenious method if I can but worrying about water leak inside T@B.  Could you explain more detail?

    Correct no problem as it allows flushing and  rinsing of both tanks. 
    I did fashion a dam across the bottom half of the vent pipe to prevent water from flowing out that direction.

    @Dalehelman as I mentioned in a previous post, I used your idea using the Dbl gang elec. cover plate.  Put it to use this past week end, and worked like a champ! Thanks for the idea!
