Tekonsha Prodigy P2 brake controller

I had one installed today, but the hitch store had no clue about how it works.  The instructions are several pages of small print.  Being a girl, and pretty dense about mechanical things, perhaps someone can give me a primer as to how to set it up.  I don't pick up the T@B until next week.
