Finally picked up the Outback yesterday and made it back home. Everything seems to be working properly but will spend the day playing with things.
As discussed earlier, the only problem so far is the stabilizer jack crank is too short and will have to be lengthened.
Except for visibility out the back of the TV, towing is no worse than towing the 5Wide Little Guy. That's a relief.

Yep, a low side swerve does the trick - And usually you can see their shadow.
