    Hi, there are a couple of errors in your post on solar panels, and they bolster your argument.  First, you should be using 18 or 36V as your panel voltage, because with an MPPT controller, that is where they will be operating.  Then you failed to account for the series array having half the current draw, so your voltage drop is half of what you get compared to the parallel connection.



    so your percentage losses drop to a quarter when you go from a parallel to a series configuration.

      Thanks.. Yeah I was thinking about that.. that the raw output from panels is more like 18 or so.. you're absolutely right, and I was just not accounting for the real world values
