    db_cooper,
I recently posted on the forum regarding our 2020 trip west and you mentioned you live near Olympic NP.. and that you might have some camping recommendations near there and Banff and Glacier. Would love the input.
We like to camp at national parks when possible (and we have the senior pass which helps) and we like to reserve ahead of time.

We stayed at Cut Bank in Glacier NP for a week 2 summers ago. You can't reserve but it is quieter than the bigger campgrounds. They don't advise rvs, but [email protected] fit a few spots. We loved it, road is washboard but not too bad. You can make cell calls from the day hike parking area too. It was 10 bucks a night. No hookups but clean vault toilets made it easy to boondock all week.

For Banff we stayed at the main lake Louise campground mostly. It can be reserved. We also stayed at marble canyon in kootenay, which is quick drive to lake louise, 30 min or less. Nearer Banff we stayed at johnson canyon, it was dark, forested, and rainy. Wasn't our favorite.

We prefer to boondock, but you could reserve campgrounds in both places and cancel if you get one of these quieter spots.

I'll followup with Olympic ideas later, since we live so close we don't [email protected] there. 😀
