I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  I would suggest using a product designed specifically for RV roofs from an RV supply store. Like Dicor 501LSW-1 Self-Leveling Lap
