I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  Up date on this item. I received it today unfortunately it didn’t work. The cable was also shorter than I expected. I will be looking for a different type.

  Well made, very strong. The one I saw seemed quit bulky when stored and fairly heavy. If I were to spend that much money on one I would convince myself I really liked it.
