I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  It might work I would give it a try first. I think it is symmetrical so it should work.

  I would put it on a 3' to4' flexible cord. Maybe self coiling. I think if you just ground the wire going to the breakaway switch the brakes engage. I would use a remote starter button like …

  Check your frig it may be on 12 volt that would cause that fan to run continuously
