I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  Use what is called self tapping screws. Available at any hardware store. Just be careful not to over tighten them. No nut is needed on the inside.
