I just replaced the crank with if I remember a 1/2” bolt. Just pop off the top cover for access. I think it was a 6” bolt. I cut off the thread. Then I drilled a small hole in it to match the crank handle. If you are not good with tools. Ask a friend or neighbor. Good luck

  IMHO The EZ lube is far superior to bearing buddy’s. EZ lube grease from the back to the front Via a hole in the center of the hub. BB just apply grease to the outside bearing.

  If it’s on fire. Breaking the skylight would be of little concern. I always like to have a fire extinguisher close at hand when I sleep. Especially in a small confined area.
