lithium batteries are better off inside where they are more secure (out of sight) and they'll stay warmer (at least here in the North). Plenty of room for one under the passenger bench seat.1 -

They look like a better option than finding your locked boxes pried open and ruined by a thief. I still think locking a box that's way more expensive than anything in it is a bad idea.1 -
Re: Can you use the Fantastic Fan when its raining if you crank it up a little bit?
First thing I did was add a vent cover. Can be fully open in the rain with no leaks. You get stuck inside during a long storm and you'll be glad you have one.2
