There are two 950 watt heating elements. The default is heating with 1 and you can increase the power to the boiler by using 2 - faster to heat up.3 -

Have you looked at the Classic Accessories version? Very affordable and appears well made. Be careful with the vinyl tarp - there have been reports of wear of the Tab gel coat.1 -

You have a good point atlasb. We never really know what re-sale units sell for, so it is hard to know their value. If list price is any indication, I think they hold their re-sale value well.2 -
