We use a red 5 gallon lidded bucket to store our 15 foot rhino hose with the elbow and spare caps. But I really like the hose carriers used by @SAM and others.1 -

I see scaffolding in your future if nüCamp says the roof is not built for weight bearing. Might even be safer and more solid than the ladder/leg straddle maneuver.2 -
