#2: On shore power, the converter (not the battery) provides power to the 12V items and the 120v items. It charges the battery if the battery needs charging, if you have the battery switch on.

I drink out of mine all the time.What kind of hose are you using? There are hoses designed for fresh water.

Note the use of "we" and "I". Anderson is great if you have a spotter. BAL works better for one person.
