We wanted to thank you for the feedback regarding the heater pump. We are still a bit confused however with this statement: "BTW  The bottom position on the SYSTEM switch should make the CoolCat heatpump function run."

So which thermostat setting is needed to make the unit work so we can heat the trailer?  "Heat Pump" or "Furnace"

And secondly, if only one works, what's the point of having two options?

The HEATPUMP position should make the CoolCat run in the heatpump mode.
The FURNACE position should make Hydroflame furnace operate. The CC will not run.

Each of the units were optional. I suppose if you thought you would need heat occasionally on cool evenings the heat pump function would be useful. The LP furnace will heat regardless of outside temps, runs on 12v and has plenty of power to keep you toasty in any conditions.

That SYSTEM switch is a little finicky and requires attention when selecting either of the two middle positions.

I never found the CC HP function very useful. If we're camping with hookups and need heat we use a small AC electric ceramic heater. Sometimes I'll use the furnace to take the morning chill off because flipping the switch is easier than getting the ele heater out.
