Looking forward to seeing the completed installation & views, @gulfarea. I used a similar location for mine about a year ago, but wired to the running lights.. https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/13734/wireless-backup-cameras-monitor-added
Can anyone tell me where would be the location closest to the ac roof vent on a T@B 320 with access to power from running lights? I would like to install a backup camera on the roof that is powered when running lights are on. Thanks.
I just installed this backup camera, and it was really easy and clean. I have no connection to the company. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GDKFH9V/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I tapped into the 12V power for the license plate light. So the backup camera comes on when the headlights are turned…
For the first time time hitching up & driving to the gas station, the cameras both worked great. Here is hitching up.. This was the first time I have ever backed up to the trailer and into the exact right spot on the first try (but then our 15 y/o Sienna van never had a backup camera). The trailer rear view camera also…
Wanted to be able see outside and around the T@B at night. Already had a backup camera system installed on the rear of the T@B ($249 on Amazon). Came up with this solution using that same two camera back-up system. The blue arrow shows the back of the T@B, the yellow the front and two sides: Rear camera location. Was…
We also got a new Garmin today. Not specifically for the T@B because I use it around town (directionally challenged.) BUT the one we got will work with a wireless backup camera and adding that may be our next major T@B mod.
Ran the conduit on the front passenger side between the bottom panel and the floor. Had to drop the front corner of the bottom panel to fish it from the hole through the floor under the bench forward to the tongue area. Ran the cable for my backup camera down the same side from the back. #4 shows the conduit coming out…

I tow my T@b S with a 2014 Cherokee TH it works great but the gas mileage goes from 19-20 to 13-14. A plus is the backup camera that makes me look like a boss putting the ball directly under the hitch.
