Shore Power Over Winter

We have a 2012 T@B and I was wondering about the pros and cons of leaving the camper connected to 110v shore power over the winter (3 months or so). Is a long-term shore power connection good or bad for the battery and/or converter? I have read several posts that circle my question but none that directly provide an answer.

I leave mine plugged in until January when we head to a warmer climate.  While plugged in, I am connected to a Battery Tender Plus and a Progressive Industries 30amp EMS.

Welcome JohnMary. I think your experience reading old post is revealing--there is no direct answer.
Some do this, others don't. I don't recall anybody reporting a specific problem either way.
Personally I'm not a big fan of leaving things running if they don't need to be. I might consider doing this if I planned to use the camper and wanted to keep it in a ready to go state. I wouldn't do it just to avoid having to winterize thoroughly.

My 2007 has been plugged in 24/7 since June of 2009 in an insulated garage (except when traveling of course). I am on my 3rd battery and 2nd converter in that time, but that is normal wear and tear.

@JohnMary, also extending a warm welcome. We are Michigan residents and have had our t@b plugged in since May of 2016. All 4 seasons, except when traveling. We have replaced the battery, but not because of failure, just an upgrade to increase ah(amp hours). Our original battery still tests within new specs. There will be wear on the converter, but ours is still going strong. When plugged in, we check fluid levels in the battery about every 8 weeks or so as we have a flooded lead acid type. We have not experienced any known adverse effects so far. So, I think the decision is going to be made by your personal preference. Our trailer sits  in the backyard so checkups are easy. Except for the cover it endures our winter weather unheated and all is well. Good luck.
