2021 or 2020 TAB400?

I’m going to see a new 2020 TAB400 this weekend but I’m wondering if I should wait, and order a 2021. The 2020 is a BDL and I don’t want the added lift or off road tires.   Plus there’s the 2020 A/C concerns. I can live with the cosmetics of the 2020 In stock but I’d order different colors and graphics if I went with ‘21. Are the BDL tires noisier? If the deal is right, would you go for the ‘20? Interested in your experienced opinions.
Thanks!

I am going to order a 21 or a 22.  Not sure I want to deal with a 2020.  If I order a 2021 v a 2022 depends on when we plan our first journey.  I was thinking this fall, now next spring at the earliest.  Call it Covid avoidance planning.

The 2021 has some advantages to consider: Coolcat (with heat pump), lower tongue weight due to axle being moved, button catches on drawers and cabinets, Nautilus system, new storage doors and the improved front tub to name a few.  IMHO after checking a 2021 at Sugar Creek, the updates would be worth the price difference.

Thanks DenisP. Those are all pluses IMO as well. I’ll have to find out what the wait time is to order custom vs finding one in dealer stock.

My choice would be a 2019 or 2021 over the 2020, and a 2021 over all, if buying new.  You get all the latest options, previously listed, and some nice component upgrades.  I especially like how the battery setup is in the 2020/2021, Nd plan on changing our 2018 TaB400 to this setup while the floor is being replaced.

Apart from the a/c issue, we really like our 2020. The 2021 changes, I think have some positives and some negatives from the 2020.  The a/c is a positive unless you are in a climate that doesn’t rely as much on the a/c (or will be ultimately corrected).  Moving the rear window up frees up some interior space at the bed, but reduces the solar capacity if you choose that option.  The wardrobe is smaller/narrower on the 2021 if you go with the smaller refrigerator.  The exterior cargo door is much smaller on the 2021.  The tub upfront is much improved and larger to boot. Also upgrades to the entertainment system if external connections are important to you, and there is an added propane connection for external appliances.

I think you will find the 2018-2020 TaB 400 closet locker is a useable 16” wide, not including the 7” false wall where  the shelves are (left side).  What you loose in the 2021 is the shelves, the closet should be 6-7” wider (22-23” wide), but not as tall,  the extra width on the door is probably why the 2021 closet front is plumb with the sides, and following the angle of the shower/toilet area, as the previous model did.  See floor plan for 2021 below:
