Leaking faucet

just took our T@B on the first outing and the kitchen faucet is leaking up through the supply onto the counter. Unscrewed it and there is a white sleeve and one o ring. Tried reassembling and tightening but still leaks. Does anyone know if the white sleeve is supposed to be split and should there be more than one o ring?

Yes, it is just a support collar, to help stabilize the faucet neck. The "O" ring is the seal.

Are you sure its not just water spraying on to the counter, due to the closeness of the faucet to the counter edge? Most of us have installed swivel aerators to point the water stream towards the center of the sink. I also noted that without a swivel, the taps cross the path of the water when turning them on full, causing water to spray back onto the counter.

Turned out to be a hairline crack in the fixture, probably from not winterizing correctly. New fixture and a lesson learned
