Picked up our M@x S yesterday and preceded to drag the butt end of the tongue jack will exiting the parking lot. Can you say rookie? Have not towed anything in thirty years and forgot to crab across the dip. Removed the three bolts and removed the jack which,as it turns out, is going to be mandatory given the sharp ramp up our 20% grade driveway! Fixed the jack including shimming the jack wheel and cutting the flat nylon bearing so there slop in the wheel and fork is minimal. Rolls better now.
The drive home was 2hrs in heavy L.A. freeway traffic and to my surprise towing the t@b is easy. Even backing up was easy, liking that! On the drive home people were smiling and waving. Guessing t@b ownership isn't for wall flowers ;-).
Got home and set it up in the drive so I can make the next few rookie mistakes in private rather than in front of a bunch of experienced RVers at some campsite. Wife was inside on the computer figuring out how to spend more money accessorizing.
Have not searched for this but will ask here anyway. CANNOT get the ring nut that secures the electric cord to the trailer to screw on. Yes the plug is in correctly, yup it is twisted and locked into the recepticle and it is working and powering the trailer. The ring nut just will not meet the threads on the recepticle. Either the plug ain't going in far enough (it feels bottomed out) or one or both of the threaded halves aren't long enough. Thanks in advance for any help here.

Ring Nut - Tlakes a special touch - it's probably not broken or defective, just persnickety. I always have trouble getting it started.
Trailer Jack - Instead of taking it off, get yourself a Jack-E-Up adapter (search YouTube for video). Works like a champ for me.
Steep Dips - Not only can the jack scrap but the gray water valve can also if steep enough. I've wiped one out already so really take it easy/slow, andwhen possible, at an angle.

Welcome to SoCal (LA) T@B group. Is there such a thing? I guess we can make one. B) I too have trouble with the electric cord, so much that I don't even bother screwing it on. I hope that's not going to cause any problems.

Yes the threads on the power cord are quite fine and hard to start. The purpose of the threaded coupler is twofold. First is secures the cable in place and secondly it provides a water tight seal, preventing water from getting into the contacts. When you insert the cord, you must align the one pin with the 90 degree tab on it, push in and turn the connector clockwise about 5 degrees. If it won't turn, the. It's not inserted all the way.

In in terms of the jack, the Jack E Up is a great solution and you can get the optional mount that allows you to stow it on the tongue when not in use. They now have a model that is designed specifically for the style of wheel jack found on the T@B.
