Questions

Hi, I am new to the forums and have several questions. We are contemplating buying an older used Tab (2004). It is in very good condition but has no heat/AC and we are thinking of installing that if we purchase. my questions would be what is the best way to go? A "mini split", or something like what they have in the store here? Also where to mount? I see in the store that they have the heat pump mounted to the front hitch where the propane goes, but then where do you put the propane? The Tab that we are looking at is the "U" configuration and has the plastic box to cover the propane and/or battery. If we were to install a "mini split" system could we attach the outside unit above that box? What are our options? Any and all insight into this is greatly appreciated... as is any encouragement/ discouragement in buying an older camper.
Thanks!

If it were me, I would get the portable heat pump that the teardrop shop has. I would install the connectors on the street side , run duct work through the bench and the vents on the bench wall under the table, cool line towards the front, return closer to the back. Than just set the unit itself on the ground next to the trailer and hook it up & plug it in. That way it is not taking up any storage space and all the noise is outside were you won't hear it. I haven't seen one of them so I don't know how heavy they are, but they look like they are portable. That's my idea, maybe someone can come up with a better one. Hope you get your T@B.

Yeah, If you have the money let LG install the ClimateRight mobile ac/heater. I'm sure they can tell you your best options on placement.
