Better audio Streaming music/video inside or outside
We boondock 95% of the time and enjoy listening to music or watching movies from time to time. Setting up your system this way draws little or no battery power and still provides much improved sound quality. Very simple.
Needed:
Two Bluetooth speakers that can be linked together to provide left and right channels.
Adapter:
Apple Lightning to Digital AV... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009WHV3BM?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
HDMI cable: AmazonBasics Flexible and Durable Premium HDMI Cable - Supports Ethernet, 3D, 4K HDR and ARC (4K@60Hz, 18Gbps) - 1 Foot, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KSP1SMS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_cWUQFbGS9ZC8Y
Follow the pairing instructions that come with the speakers.
For streaming to the Jenson TV:
Turn off the Jenson receiver. All you need is the TV.
- Plug the Apple adapter into your phone/iPad.
- Plug the HDMI cable into the adapter.
- Plug the other end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI input on the back of the TV.
- Plug the speaker cable into the headphone jack on the back of the TV
- Make sure the two Bluetooth speakers are paired with each other and your device per the product instructions.
- Plug the other end of the speaker cable into the controlling speaker input (the one speaker paired directly with your phone).
- The TV input source should be set to the HDMI input.
You should now have sound through the Bluetooth speakers with video on the Tv. All volume control will be through your device. As a result of the ceiling design inside, the acoustics can be great. Try the speakers in different locations. The goal is to have them placed so while listening you can’t pinpoint the exact location of the individual speakers.

For sound outside:
Outdoors:
Mount speakers using a 4” long strip(hook side) of the industrial strength Velcro as shown in the pictures. There’s more than enough adhesion to hold speakers in place. I wanted the ability to hang the speakers on either side of the camper. Always being mindful of other campers, you can also watch streamed /downloaded movies or sports sitting outside and still get good two channel audio. The speakers I recommend are waterproof and have a battery life of 20+ hours.

Good luck.

I would recommend 3M Dual Lock for that purpose.RedRaider said:For sound outside:Outdoors:

Does it come in 2” wide strips? I tried the 1” wide Velcro. It held (rated for 10lbs) but despite the speakers weighing just 15 oz they tended to tilt forward. The back of the speakers are 3” wide.

I don't know the available sizes but it is MUCH stronger than even the industrial Velcro.RedRaider said:Does it come in 2” wide strips? I tried the 1” wide Velcro. Thanks, looks like a good product. I’ll check it out.By the way, no cables are required to listen to music or watch video using the speakers on just your Bluetooth device (inside or outside). Cables are only needed if you want to watch video on the Jenson TV. The only draw on the battery is still just the TV. The sound quality is much better than the Jenson speakers.

The new Bluetooth LE Audio standard will mean that multiple headphones will be able to share the same audio source. Silent disco in the campground!Dalehelman said:Ear budsSan Francisco Bay Area

It would be difficult to visit with friends and family if everyone is wearing ear buds.Dalehelman said:Ear buds -
However, ear buds might occasionally be good in that situation. LOL2019 T@B 400 BDL 2017 F150 3.5L Ecoboost

Good stuff! May look into that 'cause I don't anywhere without "Tuneage!" . Until then, I'll keep crankin' tunes thru the Mini-Bose.

Apple’s new BT speaker system is interesting, Home Pod Mini, see: https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-homepod/homepod-mini/space-gray?fnode=a0893e8cf9d25ab59df5b5d90a1986eeefe0fed9791a232f7e6172dd3a14870b8459ac877c5b3f6f9e8069be113624060bfdb3c0f60e90f7d6676d20b572287f02e27282e8ec121a0fd30a841c125de4b103e38942973d67bd366b3ffcd5629115d3d374f753eec4d0a0be776cc7543b

The original purpose of my post was to offer a simple alternative to receive stereo (2 speakers) sound while streaming movies inside. I've used the Jenson along with it's speakers but they use valuable power while boondocking. It takes around 5 minutes to set up the separate Bluetooth speakers without using the Jenson. There are much higher quality speakers than the ones I use that can be paired:

Being able to have stereo sound outside like many other camper brands is just a bonus, whether it's listening to low volume relaxing music or partying with ZZ Top.
