How to find fantastic fan 4 amp fuse

Afternoon. Did the pwm update to the exhaust ceiling fan.  4 amp fan fuse popped and neighbor had a 3 amp 125v to fill in.  Trying to find proper 4 amp 125 v. Auto parts stores don’t have and ordered on Amazon and we’re smaller in length so anyone buy replacements?  Thank you for any lead on this purchase.  Mark

I got a spare from our local hardware/general store.  They had lost of the different fuses an auto parts did have.  Just take the old fuse with you to get the correct replacement.  It is a good idea to turn off the battery and any AC power connection before working on things like the fan, that are wired directly to the TaB’s electrical system.

Thank you.  Some at auto store were same length but said 32 v when the one blown said 125v.  Thanks

The volt rating is its max voltage it can pass without blowing.  What makes the fuse glow is amperage, most boat DC fuses are 32 VDC and either one at 4 amps would work, as long as the fuse length is correct.  However, you can not use a 32 volt fuse in any circuit that is higher than 32 volts, like in a 110 volt circuit.

Yes, but the 250 volt fuse is going to cost more $.  As long as the physical size is correct to fit the fuse holder.  Higher voltage fuses tend to be larger end have beefed up components. Be sure to check the diameter as well as the length.

Found fuses on eBay in a 5 pack at 250 v 4 amp and 30mm which was also 1/4 by 1 1/4. Measured exact. Thank you. Mark
