Propane Tank in All Pro Adventures Tubs

I’ve ordered a couple of the All Pro Adventures add-on tubs for my Tab 400 Boondock and am considering what to use them for.

One thought is an additional propane tank.   Looks like it would fit but might need something packed along side to keep it from moving.

Thoughts?

If you put a tank in the add on boxes, you need a bracket to secure the propane tank in the box, so the tank can not move around.  Break the neck on one of these bottles, and it becomes a rocket!  The chances are slim, given the guard on three sides, but it is still a risk to leave one unsecured.  Also DOT regulations, I believe, require the tanks to be securely mounted.

Would the box also have to be vented at the bottom to preclude any build-up of propane?

Yes, but you need a good size opening to comply with RIVA code, if you plan to use the propane tank whilst it is in the smaller box.

My plan for the second tank is my grill and fire pit so I’d remove it for use. The bracket makes sense regardless of the regs.  Will have to consider ventilation after I see the tubs.

If you are not using the tank in the tub, then I do not think ventilation is needed, as the valve on the propane tank remains closed.
