How to test for voltage on the tow vehicle 7-pin connector

Hi - I am trying to solve a Prodigy pairing issue, Is there a way to test to see if the 7-pin has a charging wire installed without hooking up the T@B?  (eg; is there a device i can purchase, or can uhaul or somewhere test it)?

You will need a multi-meter to test the Aux 12V. Black lead on multimeter goes to ground on the 7-pin, red lead goes to the Aux 12V. (See diagram in the above link.). You should get around 12V, depending on the voltage of your vehicle battery. 

(I used the search function to find “wiring for 7 pin).
