Modifcation to propane device (removal of regulator)

Hi,
I was thinking of getting an outdoor fire pit to hook up to the propane outlet on the TAB 320. I emailed the company to check about removing the pressure regulated hose that comes with the unit. They said it was removable at the threaded connection, but could not confirm the functionality or safety and it should be done by a "propane expert".
Seems pretty straightforward to remove it and use a hose from the TAB's regulated source. Should I be concerned about doing this myself.
Thank you

I went through some simple propane "fixes" in the last few months and I couldn't get any answers from anyone about anything concerning hoses, at least online. The propane experts had it figured out correctly in just a few minutes. So, which "pressure regulated hose" are you asking about? Pigtail from the tank to the regulator? Hose from the regulator down into the trailer? The pigtail is easy to replace, where my efforts failed was the hose from the regulator to the trailer innards.

Hi,
I would remove the OEM hose with the low pressure regulator from the fire pit. That hose has a female threaded connection to the gas valve on the fire pit. The gas valve (controller) remains on the fire pit. The gas valve has the male threaded connection on it (verified with vendor).
I then would connect a RV hose on one end (female threaded end) to the male threaded gas valve on the fire pit and then the other end has a quick disconnect to connect onto the TAB.

That propane accessory thing? Ignore whatever I wrote before coffee this morning. There have been several discussions on how to make the "accessory" propane work with various appliances. Check this thread with various hoses/setups. https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/11344/grills-griddles-and-stoves-compatible-with-the-quick-connect-propane-port-on-2021-t-bs/p1

Hi, I did see that thread..I guess that I was looking for some reassurance that this change out does not pose any safety concern (obviously if done right). Seems not . Thank you2025 360 CS
