2021 T@B 400 - Propane hose to Alde

The propane hose to the Alde enters the bottom of the compartment through a plastic fitting that looks like it will allow pests as well as water into the compartment. Is there supposed to be some caulk around the hose where it goes through this fitting? If so, what caulk should be used (ours has none).
