Nice job @game.  Since I rebuilt my bench frame as part of an upgrade I didn't need the piano hinged piece on mine.  But I did go the bench slide stops under my new plywood bench, they worked like a charm as I'm sure yours did too.

@game i like your setup.  seems pretty simple, i was going to cut that 1" lip off too so i don't have to worry about different heights.  I like the little blocks to keep it from sliding out, and the ability to return to the "standard" setup.

questions if convenient;  your setup gives 27" of sleeping space.  Has that been enough?  I'm 19" wide at the shoulders and wife is less, so it seems like it would be plenty.  Do you leave the seat backs in place which would reduce your sleeping space by about 3-4"?

The setup leaves 18" of "walking space".  has that been sufficient?

What did you do about cushions?  I've seen a few people buy custom width mattresses, and some have modified their cushions and then using sleeping bags on top (probably my route).  But what about seat backs?  Did you have a 6" extension cushion made to take up the extra space?

    any advice/pictures would be appreciated.
