The Mr. Heater Buddy series is pretty popular, a friend of mine used the small one in a Meerkat trailer. They do have safe guards so they can be used inside.
thanks for all the recommendations, a neighbor is lending me his Mr. Heater Buddy so I can try it out this week camping.
I can see using it to heat up the cabin initially but I don’t think that I would use it inside for long periods. If you do, I would make sure that the cabin is well ventilated and the CO detector is working properly. I think that would heat up the cabin with the little buddy, fill up a couple of hot water bottles, and use a “real” sleeping bag. I would not use the heater overnight.
I’m surprised that your 2012 doesn’t have a propane furnace - I thought that was standard during that time period.

Mr. Buddy Heaters are great--have used them off and on for years. I have the one that can take either 1 or 2 small propane bottles. Just make sure you either crack a window or your vent fan and as always make sure your CO detectors are working.
