Toilet Bowl Seal Leaking Water

On our 2021 400 BD I’ve noticed our toilet doesn’t hold water in the bowl very long. I filled it up with maybe 2 inches of water 4 days ago and today there’s maybe a 1/4” left. Should the seal on the sliding valve hold water indefinitely? Not sure I really noticed if it was or wasn’t holding water previously but I felt like it did.

I could be wrong, but I think that like boat heads, they're not really meant to hold water. You want to put some water in there for messy business, but you certainly wouldn't want a couple of inches sloshing around as you're driving down the road.

Ours has held water for as long as we've had it...8 years.
Might need to get the rubber gloves on and feel the rubber seal to be sure it's clear of stuff.
While you're at it, you might put a thin coat of silicone plumber's grease on the seal.

You can also get some RV Toilet seal conditioner and pour a small amount in toilet.  I add some every winter to our 2018 TaB400, and it keeps the seal in good working order.  Our toilet holds water in the bowel until it is flushed down.

Just found some on amazon. Going to make sure the seal is clear of any gunk and then add some conditioner
