Air conditioning filter

Our air conditioning filter in the 2014 T@B requires cleaning frequently.
The filter will not slide out as the unit is installed too close to the bathroom back wall.
The filter is flexible but I don't want to apply force.  Has anyone been successful in removing the filter for cleaning?

We have completely removed the filter several times as it does really need cleaning. Sandy has been able to bend it out without breaking it. Good luck!!

I've removed it several times, but about the 3rd time I broke one of the plastic frame parts. Still works, but is a bit more of a pain to maneuver it back in place. It's easier to get out and back in (especially with the broken frame) if the wooden trim is removed from around the A/C first.

Comes out ok for me, when I bend it. But I'd like to have a spare on hand, 'just in case'.

Think we could order a spare filter from Amazon?  I am amazed at how quickly the filter becomes covered with dust/lint.

I wondered if anyone has found it necessary to add a cover for the ac exterior vent. Thanks!

shorthillssummit - Exterior cover - If you have a strong side wind, it can blow in around the edges internally - so some have made covers to use when you don't need the A/C

I made a cover of plexiglass and attach with rare earth magnets. I only use it in the winter but it works great.

RZRBUG

Plexiglas held on with industrial strength Velcro.  Use only when it sits for a while to keep the varmints out.
