Nautilus quick connect issue

The spring loaded quick connect on our tab 400 shower hose fell apart. I was unable to locate the small internal retaining pins so I cannot reassemble. I think the outer plastic sleeve is pretty flimsy which can allow this connection to fall apart if stressed a little too much. Anybody out there replaced this with something more substantial? The connector screws off the nautilus easily but the threads are going to require some adapters in order to use more common fittings. Thought I would check alternatives before locating the OEM part. Regards.

To solve my own problems! After closer examination it appears that the outer retaining circlip popped off allowing it to fall apart. I’ve cut two small ss nails to serve as retaining pins and reassembled. Now all I need is a trip to the hardware store to get a circlip for the outer part.

Good for you! Can you get us a picture of the part that you had issued with? And what you used to repair it?
