Built a tongue hitch for bike rack

Pretty much what the title says, I just wanted to show others what I came up with to carry our bikes. Didn't want to mount them on the TV and as you guys know, there's no good option to go on the back of the Tab, so here's what I did. It's welded and powder coated, and bolts to the frame. Turned out pretty nice.

That is great! I also have a 1up double bike rack. I currently use the Jack-it rack and then carry my 1up in my TV. This should work for a Tab400 as well I imagine. Could you post some pictures of how it attaches to the frame?

Looks like sharp turns might contact the rack to the TV. Even our Jack-it rack seems close while turning sharply. Good fabrication though! Any excuse to make sparks is a good one. I was considering trying to adapt the Jack-it to a TV hitch for use when camper is parked.

@Oinfront The jackit was an inspiration, just thought I could make it a little better. The base bolts to the frame with flanges on each side, maybe this pic will help.@Aubrey we have full range turning still, but the car trunk or truck bed are lower than the front bike. Possibly an issue with an SUV or truck cap.

@subfreq111 Thanks. Looks like a pretty simple design! I do tow with a SUV and was gong to ask about the turning and clearance. I may look into this though. Ill post ya some pics if I go that route Happy Travels!
