I'm not sure this is right part of the T@B forum for this question, but if it's not, I'm sure one of the excellent moderators will move it as appropriate.
Can someone tell me if the vertical bar in the rear of the cargo box (see photo below) serves a useful purpose? I assumed that it is there to help stiffen the box, but the box is already well-supported by the platform and the bar does not seem to really do much. While it's welded to the floor at several points, it's not attached to
the wall of the box, which seems odd if it's role is truly to stiffen
things.
I'd like to cut a section of it out to gain some additional floor space but am reluctant to do that if it really does serve some purpose.
