New T@bbers from Southern California

Hi all!

We just bought a 2021 TAB 320 and are heading out for our first road trip in a couple of weeks.  We purchased from a private seller and never got any sort of walk-around introduction, so feeling a bit nervous about it all.

If anyone has lessons learned or tips you think are super important, I sure would like to hear them.

We're looking forward to new adventures!

    1.  Always tow with the battery switch turned on.  The break away brakes rely on power from the TaB battery in the event of a complete separation from the tow vehicle.  Turn the battery switch off when you want to prevent draining your battery from parasitic drains (think USB, AV equipment, CO/LOG monitor, etc) as when in storage.

    2.  The Alde has a steep learning curve.  Read the Alde 3020 online manual found here:  https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/7722/alde-manuals-and-resources#latest

    3.  Always use a water pressure regulator and a surge protector.

    4.  Learn how to measure rested battery voltage.

    5.  Collapse your screens and shades while towing and before using the stove.

    6.  Always tow with the windows completely latched.

    7.  Learn to turn off appliances (especially the Alde) before disconnecting shorepower.  It will prevent a blown fuse from a surge to the Alde the next time you plug into shorepower.

    8.  Crack the vent fan and the front window at night to increase airflow and prevent condensation from breathing.

    9.  Precool  the frig on shorepower.  Be prepared that extremely high temps may result in insufficient cooling - bring a cooler.

    10.  Check out the Owners Manual category for helpful resources.
