1st camp with 2018 tab outback

Just back from 3 day shakedown camping trip with new (to me) outback. Overall very pleased with the tab - easy to tow with my F150, got 18 mpg but there was no wind, kept it under 65, and a modest 3000' elevation gain. Went down a 25 mile dirt road full of potholes and washboard and nothing in the tab broke or even came loose (I had previously used locktite on all of the cabinet knobs). All systems worked great and impressed with the alde system in particular. One quirk was the radio would come on at midnight every night and I haven't found a timer in the radio settings so far. Also, the Norcold was a bugger to light the propane. The fresh water fill is poorly designed and one has to be very careful not to break the fill cover when filling from 6 gallon jugs. The factory solar panels worked great in conjunction with the 1300 watt lithium battery and I never worried or even had to think about electricity.

@gyamane - sounds like you had a successful initiation of your TaB! The tip out water fill is certainly a weak point. I recommend filling with a siphon and be prepared to replace the port with a threaded cap when it breaks!

Already have read the posts on replacing the cover!

I believe you can clear the Jensen (midnight) radio alarm. On my model, turn on the radio and then press the tiny silver time button (bottom, right of the display) twice to access the alarm settings. From there you can use the main dial to adjust or clear the alarm.2019 Tab 320 CSS, 2019 Ranger TV, OH

My model has a set alarm button and I can select 0, 15, 30, 60 which I suppose is the length of time before shutting off for sleeping but there doesn't seem to be any wake option settings.

I have a 2017 with the Jensen AWM968. Here is the manual (if you don't have one). See page 7 for the way harder than it should be instructions for turning off the Alarm.

Thanks pthomas for the manual - I do have a hard copy and as far as I could tell the alarm was off. I set it to go off at 8 am but turned off and so far it hasn't gone on so who knows!
